Centres hosting Magic Hands in Toronto:

Have Magic Hands at your centre!  Magic Hands is a turnkey program.  All we require is registration administration and a quiet room with tables and chairs for our students.  Additionally we like to have two or three “monitors” or supervisors at each of the teaching sessions. This extra layer of facility volunteer participation ensures the safety for all concerned and eases the number of volunteers required for the entire session.

We meet once a week for eight weeks and on the final week, the students put on their own magic show!  The show can be mounted in a larger room like an atrium or auditorium.  Logistics will also be arranged with the centre for the final show.

Registration: Simply outreach to your community members and supply us with a minimum of eight to a maximum of fifteen participants, eight to twelve years old.  We supply you with pre-registration forms that give students permission to participate and will collect them from you or the students at their first session.

Administration: We have all our course materials save photocopies for students.  We can arrange to email you .pdf documents ahead of time or we can bring master sheets to have copied upon our arrival each week.

Special offer: Instruction, magic kits and magic-related supplies are all provided to each centre that hosts Magic Hands, thanks to generous funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.  The centre is only responsible for providing Magic Hands with a room to teach in, a room monitor, photocopies for students and registering students.

If you know of or represent a center that might be interesting in participating in Magic Hands, please contact Julie Eng Magicana.
