ErinOak Kids Magic

September 3, 2015

As the summer ends, we look fondly back at the magic sessions that we performed earlier this summer at ErinOak Kids Centre for Treatment and Development in Mississauga with a wonderful group of clients from Helping Hands -  a program that develops motor skills in impaired limbs. It’s a program based on practice, so things that take lots of practice — like reading minds, predicting the future and doing card tricks — fit  just right.

This session was led by Toronto magician James Alan. In this accelerated summer version of the program, James met with participants, and worked closely with a large team of volunteers and therapists from ErinOak over two weeks to help these young magicians stage A Big Show.

“What struck me is that the kids were completely fearless. Every single one, when it was their turn, went right out in front of fifty plus people without blinking. It takes a tremendous network of support to accomplish that and the staff were there behind them all the way."

-James Alan

We want to congratulate our newly-minted young magicians and hope that you enjoy sharing a bit of magic with your family and friends.
