The Rich Cabinet Collection
Magicana is proud to present our latest project, The Rich Cabinet Collection. This is the definitive collection of five hundred essays on magic history written by legendary historian Dr. Edwin A. Dawes.
Originally published as a series for The Magic Circular, Dr. Dawes spent forty-eight years researching and writing this column since 1972, completing the series in the summer of 2020. In addition, Dr. Dawes has reviewed each essay, adding updated information and addenda material where and when possible.
Magicana is now releasing this nine-volume set (eight volumes plus a comprehensive index), bundled over four printing and mailings, with the first mailing scheduled for July 2022.
This is a LIMITED EDITION set of 250 sets, no volumes will be available individually.
The images show artist rendering. Actual product may look slightly different.
Each of the eight volumes will be hardbound with a dust jacket, made up of approximately four hundred pages per book, with a final trim size of 9 x 11.5 inches (23 x 29 cm), weighing about 5 lbs. (2.27 kg) each. The index will be a slimmer, lighter book, of the same trim size.
In order to manage such a large product, we are printing and releasing the books in bundles. Orders will be shipped in four mailings, starting in July 2022 and concluding January 2024. The index will be included in the fourth and final mailing.
